How do I join?

Joining and running with us is free (with or without a membership), simply meet us at one of our scheduled runs posted on our Facebook Events Page! Although we do request that anyone looking to join, please register for membership for free HERE so that you're covered under our RRCA insurance.

What are the club rules regarding coronavirus?

In short, to attend any RRC event we require a mask and a safe 6ft social distance while socializing (not running). While running you are not required to wear a mask but you must keep 6ft away from others. Additionally we ask that you leave your dogs at home for the time being. These rules will be strictly enforced till we can safely return to normal. Please click here for full list of rules & guidelines.

How does the group run work?

There's a wide range of athletes that run with us, from 12 min miles to 6 min miles. Unlike other clubs, we don't split into groups based on pace before the run, instead people find their own pace and buddy on the run. This keeps from forming cliques!

Before each road run we'll explain the route/course. During the run, one of the admins will run ahead to make sure each runner is on course. On trail runs, all of us will typically stop at every 1.5 - 2 miles to regroup.

Walkers are allowed but please be aware that admins won't be available at major intersections, we advise having your phone with you at all times!

Can you post/promote my race/run on your Facebook Page?

Unfortunately, we're no longer promoting races that we don't sponsor or host as we receive many requests every month from many people, we hope you understand! If you're hosting a race in the Portland area and you're a Runaways Run Club member please feel free to email us at: runawaywednesdays@gmail.com

Help! I'm looking for someone to fill a spot on our relay team.

If you're a Runaways Run Club member, check out our Runaways Social Squad page, where you may post a request for a teammate. Please do not email or ask admins to help find a teammate for your team through the run club, try the social page first. We hope you understand!

Runaways apparel is sweet, how do I get some?

We regularly have apparel for sale at all of our Wednesday night pub runs, please swing by to pick up your shirts, shorts, hats, or sweaters! We accept Venmo or cash, we can't mail items. You may reserve a new item for free that we have in stock, items may be sold to someone else if left unclaimed after one week.
